This is a collaborated work of our misguided adventures towards a truth, and whatever that truth may become for us.
Emily and I started out somewhere lost in the between of lost and found.
We foolishly went through our lives blinded, wandering through the haze of reality slowly and reluctantly. There was always something missing – always a longing for the imagined future.
We found ourselves years later begging for a sense of completion, for an acceptance into a world we no longer knew. We began to reconcile that the distance of what we wanted and what we were was found within that space of complexity, the in-between.
So, what is the in-between
We all long for a life, a love that differs from what we have exasperated ourselves to achieve or find. We become lost among the complex movements of breathing that we cannot help but reside in consistent anxiety – well for me anyway. The space where you can slow time, mark it as your own and be present in the burdening stillness – that is where we all come back to – that is the in-between.
The in-between created a space to exist paralyzed from outside forces. Our own in-between blasted into existence at the most appropriate time for us to be shaken awake from our slumber breath. Emily and I first spent time together outdoors navigating the hiking trails just to lose our sense of awareness. We were at peace within ourselves, for the first time. No words, no voice. We formed this place within that silence to allow for whatever feelings or interpretations to play off of the nothing that was expected. This is where our story began, in our attempts of conversation faulted and failed.
We remained silent and mindful as we found ourselves int he tranquility of the in-between. For us we have given a physical representation of our space in-between, it exists solely in nature, preserving the forgotten and hopeful.
Emily and I love hiking, we try very hard to loosen up and slow down just to make ourselves aware of our space and to acknowledge the truth in the ritual of chaos that the in-between holds.
This post is a bit melodramatic – but this is just the introduction to our interpretation life. There will be tons of others to follow, some may be happy, joyous, catastrophic, desperate, but I think some of our thoughts should be shared and this is how we express that interpretation.
So, here are our two pups to make you happy! (Finn is giving you a big smile)
